Chauffeur in Saanen — this is our village.

Every chauffeur company says they "serve Saanen". One is registered here — at Wyssmülleriweg, between the station and the airfield. When you call a driver in Saanen, ours is the car that doesn't have to come from somewhere else first.

The village behind the resort

Saanen is the older sibling that lets Gstaad take the photographs. It holds the municipality, the market street of dark timber houses with their painted façades, the medieval church of St. Mauritius whose acoustics the Menuhin Festival has treasured for decades — and, on the flat land at its edge, the two arrival points that shape the valley's comings and goings: the railway station on the GoldenPass line and the Gstaad-Saanen airfield. Guests who choose Saanen tend to know exactly what they're choosing: the same valley as Gstaad's glamour, five minutes away, at a quieter register.

What being based here changes

Distance is the hidden tax on Alpine chauffeur service — most cars serving this valley start their day in Bulle, Montreux or Geneva. Ours starts on Wyssmülleriweg. The practical differences are unglamorous and decisive: short-notice journeys are genuinely possible; a 04:00 airport start doesn't begin with a two-hour empty drive that someone has to pay for; and when the snow arrives overnight, your driver has already walked to the car through it. Local isn't a marketing word here — it's the Impressum.

The journeys Saanen asks for

From chalet doors in the village and the hamlets around it, the pattern of a Saanen week: airport runs — Geneva in about 2 h 10, Zurich around 2 h 40, Bern roughly 1 h 25, Sion about 1 h 10; station collections when guests arrive by the GoldenPass panoramic line; the five-minute hop to Gstaad's Promenade for dinner; ski mornings to the valley's lift bases; and concert evenings when the festivals fill St. Mauritius. For stays rather than single journeys, one standing arrangement covers it all — the shape of it is on our private driver page.

Saanen or Gstaad? The five-minute question

For transport purposes, treat them as one address: every service we run in Gstaad runs identically from Saanen, usually a few minutes shorter toward the airports since Saanen sits on the down-valley side. The full map of what we do across the region is on the main service page; this page exists because Saanen has earned the courtesy of being named — it's home. The villages up the hill get the same courtesy — starting with Schönried and Saanenmöser.

Chauffeur in Saanen — quick answers

Is there a private chauffeur based in Saanen itself?

Yes — Gstaad Prestige Chauffeur is registered at Wyssmülleriweg in Saanen, so the car genuinely starts in the village. In practice that means short lead times for local journeys, honest advice about the valley, and a driver whose home roads are the ones outside your chalet.

How far is Saanen from Gstaad?

About five minutes by car — the two villages sit side by side on the valley floor and share one life: Saanen holds the municipality, the historic centre, the station and the airfield; Gstaad holds the Promenade and most of the grand hotels. A dinner in one from a chalet in the other is the region's shortest chauffeur journey.

How long is the transfer from Saanen to Geneva Airport?

Around 2 h 10 in normal conditions — marginally shorter than from central Gstaad, since Saanen sits on the down-valley side. Zurich is about 2 h 40, Bern roughly 1 h 25 and Sion about 1 h 10, all at fixed all-inclusive prices.

Do you meet arrivals at Saanen station or the airfield?

Both, routinely. The GoldenPass line brings guests to Saanen station from Montreux and the Bernese Oberland, and Gstaad-Saanen airfield receives private aviation minutes from the village centre — for either, your chauffeur is waiting when you step off.

Can you drive guests staying in Saanen for the whole holiday?

Yes — from single journeys to a standing daily arrangement covering ski mornings, restaurant evenings and every trip between: one chauffeur, one fixed plan, for the length of your stay.
