1. Who is responsible

2. What we process, and why

Quote requests through the form

When you request a quote, we receive what you enter: your name; whether you prefer a reply by e-mail or by phone, and the e-mail address or phone number you give for that; the route, date and time, passengers and luggage; and anything you add in the message field, such as a flight number, children's seats or a chalet address. Phone numbers are only requested if you choose a reply by phone.

Two further details are sent automatically with the form: the page of our website from which you reached the form and the language of that page. We use them only to reply in your language and to understand which of our pages lead to enquiries. They are not combined with any other data and are not used for advertising.

We use all of this solely to answer your request, prepare your quote and, if you book, carry out the journey. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract, and performance of the contract.

Enquiries by e-mail

If you write to us directly, we process the content of your e-mail and your address for the same purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted once they are no longer needed to answer you. Records of confirmed bookings are kept for as long as Swiss accounting and record-keeping law requires, and then deleted.

Technical data

Our hosting provider automatically processes technical connection data — such as IP address, browser type and time of access — in server logs, to deliver the website securely and reliably.

3. What we do not do

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It uses no analytics, tracking, profiling or advertising services. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data — with anyone, ever. We do not publish client names, itineraries or photographs. Discretion is not a setting on our website; it is the business.

4. Third parties involved when you use the site

Netlify, Inc. (USA) hosts this website and receives and stores the form submissions on our behalf.

Unsplash. The background photographs on our pages are loaded from Unsplash's image servers (images.unsplash.com). To display them, your browser connects directly to Unsplash, which receives your IP address and basic browser information. We do not set cookies through this connection.

Google Fonts — only in one case. Our typefaces are self-hosted, so no font request goes to a third party when a page loads. Only if you actively switch the homepage to Arabic are the Arabic typefaces loaded from Google Fonts, which involves transmitting your IP address to Google.

Google (Gmail). Our business e-mail address is a Gmail account, so e-mails you send us and our replies are processed by Google.

These providers may process data outside Switzerland, including in the USA; such transfers rely on the safeguards recognised under the FADP. Some of our pages also link to external websites — hotels, event organisers, official sources. When you follow such a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.

5. Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) you may request information about the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, you have the corresponding rights under it. Write to gstaadprestige@gmail.com and we will respond within the statutory period. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

6. Changes

We update this policy when our services or the way the website works change. The version published on this page is the current one.
