Privacy is the foundation of our service on the road — this page explains how we apply the same principle to your data, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
1. Who is responsible
The controller for data processing on this website is Gstaad Prestige Chauffeur, Gstaad, Canton of Bern, Switzerland. For any privacy matter, contact us at gstaadprestige@gmail.com.
2. What we process, and why
Booking enquiries
When you contact us through the enquiry form or by e-mail, we process the details you provide — typically your name, contact details, travel dates, flight numbers, pick-up and drop-off addresses and passenger information. We use these solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare your quote and perform the transport service you request. Legal basis: performance of a contract, or steps prior to entering one.
Service records
Confirmed bookings are retained as long as required for accounting and statutory record-keeping obligations under Swiss law, after which they are deleted.
Technical data
Our hosting provider (Netlify, see below) automatically processes technical connection data — such as IP address, browser type and time of access — in server logs, for the purpose of delivering the website securely and reliably.
3. What we do not do
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies and uses no tracking, profiling or advertising services. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data — with anyone, ever. We do not publish client names, itineraries or photographs. Discretion is not a setting on our website; it is the business.
4. Service providers
Netlify, Inc. (USA) hosts this website and processes form submissions and server logs on our behalf. The typefaces used on this site are self-hosted on our own server — no font request is sent to Google or any third party when a page loads. (Only if you actively switch the homepage to Arabic are the Arabic typefaces loaded from Google Fonts, which then involves transmitting your IP address to Google LLC, USA.) Both providers may process data outside Switzerland; transfers rely on recognised safeguards under the FADP. E-mail correspondence is processed through our e-mail provider.
5. Your rights
Under the FADP you may request information about the personal data we hold about you, ask for correction or deletion, and object to processing. Write to gstaadprestige@gmail.com and we will respond within the statutory period. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
6. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or in our services. The version published on this page is the current one.
